The Leadership for Systemic Change project started its home stretch two months ago but due to a change in leadership, some activities were put on hold until a replacement was found.
We are happy to report our new project manager is Bella Nceke. Bella has been reaching out to our partners and beneficiaries to re-engage and support project efforts by offering mentoring and job placement opportunities to participants.
Since the last update, project participants were treated to two workshops covering:
– Leading Community Engagement
– Report Writing and Public Speaking
Five workshops are remaining for the 1st cohort.
In addition, each participant who remained active was paired with a mentor.
As most placement opportunities expired during the project’s hiatus, we are in the process of contacting partners and reaching out to find new participants.
Currently the project is now recruiting the second cohort and it’s estimated that two months
will be required to conduct the information sessions, interviews and answer questions of potential beneficiaries.
Despite the challenges, IWSO is happy to report that we are back on track with this project.
