Interac employees generously donate $25,200 through employee giving campaign
Ottawa, ON – February 26, 2025
Immigrant Women Services Ottawa (IWSO) received a donation of $25,200 from In-terac Corp. (Interac) through their annual Giving & Diversity week campaign. The gift will be used towards IWSO programming aimed at supporting Immigrant and Racial-ized Women.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Interac for their generous donation. This meaningful contribution will provide immigrant and racialized women and their children in Ottawa with essential support and resources to build better lives. Your generosity will have a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve,” says Mercy Lawluvi, Executive Director of IWSO.
Manager of Crisis Intervention and Counseling Services for IWSO, Josphine Basudde, adds, “I sincerely thank Interac for their generous donation. Supporting newcomer women and their children fleeing violence requires the collective effort of the Ottawa community. IWSO takes pride in offering culturally appropriate services, empowering families to rebuild their lives and work toward a healthier, brighter fu-ture.”
In December, Interac hosted their annual Giving & Diversity Week campaign where employees came together to raise funds in support of community organizations that are committed to helping women and newcomers in Canada.
